Here are some photos from our trip to London - August 28 to September 1st . It was a lovely end to the summer holidays, with London putting on fantastic warm weather and plenty of sunshine!

We spent a morning walking around Soho and doing some shopping on Regent Street.
Ella's favourite shop was Hamley's where she had her nails painted in a leopard print design!

I realised at this point that I didn't really know how to row! |

James did a good job though |
Our trip to the Tower of London got off to a shaky start with Ella becoming ill on the tube (we now know what happens when she eats peanuts!!) but after she recovered she soldiered on and we spent an enjoyable couple of hours there. Seeing the Crown Jewels was a highlight!
Our hotel was not far from Covent garden so we enjoyed dinner and a drink around that area on several night, including some great gluten-free meals at Dishoom and Jamie Oliver.
We visited the British Museum on the day we arrived to see the excellent exhibition on Pompeii. We then returned on our last day to meet up with my cousin James and his partner Jenny and to explore a little more of the museum's amazing collections, including the Elgin Marbles, the Rosetta Stone and the oldest object in the British museum - a stone chopping tool made about 2 million years ago.
