Upon our return from Rome, it was right into the Halloween celebrations, which, having Irish or Celtic origins, is much bigger in Ireland than in Australia. Firstly, the pumpkin was carved....
next Halloween brownies were made....
then Halloween parties were attended during the day.....and finally at night, Pia and Ella celebrated Halloween with one of their school
friends, Anna - the child-friendly street was perfect for trick-or-treating
and collecting a rather large amount of sweets!
It was also the time of Halloween that we noticed flocks of starlings mingling in strange patterns around our house! Lining up on the antennas one minute....gone the next!
Maybe they knew it was Halloween, too!
